I also love how he screams at the end of "There is no true love, just a finely tuned jealousy"

Damn, I love that album.

Lifeblood for me - JFPL does better show his range though of course.

My favourites are when he uses his voice like percussion -
"Holding you but I only miss these things when they leave"
"PG certificate all cuts unfocused" etc.

Those moments come up in all periods though so I abstain. If Nicky can be persuaded to write some more lyric-heavy stuff perhaps "Beyond, like Tom Jones". (Is TJ's voice really better since 2009???)

GATS. JDB has never sung (or played guitar) with such ferocity.

Since Tom Jones was 40.

Haha - yes obvious really sorry. Really brings it home how old that guy is - before my time even. My mum said he was an absolute phenomenon back in the day, a total hunk of burning love. Like a strutting stud horse.

I voted for 1990-1994, but it was close between that and the period we have the privilege of enjoying now!

It comes down to how you like to hear him using his masterful voice, and I prefer that more aggressive style from GATS/Holy Bible, which JFPL show he can still completely nail.
