Hmmm...not really sure what I'd like to hear. I guess it would be nice to see them produce the best possible album they can...something they're happy with at this stage in their career rather than focusing solely on producing "hits". However, if it's sustainable commercial success that makes them happy and keeps them relevant in their minds, then all the power to them.

Anyway, I've been a fan long enough to know that their next album will dfinitely be very accessible...along the lines of SATT. In fact, I hate to say it, but it'll most likely be SATT part II. Some of you may be excited by this prospect - clearly it's a fan favourite - but I think they can do much better than that album quite frankly.

Indeed! A duet with Liam Gallagher would be a good start!

JFPL was that still I think

However, it wasn't the same team behind it!

I love all the records, it's the Manics who lose interest in them after 5 minutes!

Too true. They just need to accept that all their albums are good, at worst.

It's like they know how good they are but they don't always like to acknowledge it for some reason.

Along with the fans, it seems. People on here loved LB and SATT when they came out, now you'd think they were 2 albums worth of Nicky vomiting with the way they're slagged off.

I'll never understand why people are like that. If you like it you like it. Unless they've just played the records to death and utterly bored themselves of them. I try and avoid that by listening to a variety of stuff these days then going back to the stuff I really love.

I think there's always an element of people getting so caught up in the excitement of the album release that they will automatically say it's the best album ever, then after a while it becomes cool to criticize it, and it doesn't help when the Manics themselves say they don't like the albums. Just because the Manics say something it's not like all fans have to agree though.

A cover of Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough by Michael Jackson with Nicky Wire doing vocals
More Sean Trumpet Playing
The most polished sheeny shiny overdone production they have ever used
A piano only song
A love song
More Swearing
Some proper decent bass lines that you can distinguish from the guitar playing
Another song with a drum only chorus...crucifix kiss esque?
Suicide Alley as the lead single

Anyone fancy distinguishing what should be allowed and what should be not?
