Well, it's not a list like in track list or set list, I've picked out the songs that are the most meaningful to me out of the 'Three songs you would erase' thread. It was more than just typing them out. I gave up on some songs I do still like and didn't wanna put because they weren't 'good' enough.

Born A Girl Epicentre Everything Will Be Empty Souls I'm Just A Patsy There are a lot of songs that I love mentioned in that thread. These are the ones that stand out to me as being especially unjustly reviled. |

I gave up on that previous thread on the third page. I don't listen to remixes much, but every Manics original I saw listed I actually like. Therefore, all of them.

Of those songs in the beginning of the thread, I like a great many of them (still have to go through the original 3 songs thread to pick out others) - "I'm Just a Patsy" is just about the only song I like from SATT, haha. I don't know how anyone could put down "The Soulmates" as worst (one of my favorite b-sides). "Everything Must Go" is epic as well - those drums!! |

I don't understand why Royal Correspondent is hated by so many people! The posts I've seen on this forum haven't been favorable and this is quite upsetting. I would say it's one of the best tracks on Know Your Enemy, KYE being one of my favourite Manics albums! I listened to the album in it's entirety a few weeks back and realised how much I dig Royal Correspondent, now I can't stop listening to it!

Surprised just how much hate The Everlasting gets, I'm goin for that. Love everything about the single, really. Brilliant b-sides, and nice simple artwork. Does well to kinda set the tone for the album too. Prefer the studio with all the effects to the acoustic we usually get live.

Think I only saw them do a full band version once. Gutted. Favourite track on that album too.

What about the Millennium? Was it a full band version?

I think it was. Shame I wasn't there. Could've been as well, which makes it more annoying.

Just based on Richian's list:
A Song for Departure Doors Closing Slowly Everything Must Go I would also save The Everlasting as I know it is not a fav

S.Y.M.M. - How could anyone hate this song? I think it's one of the most trippy, chilling, and beautiful things they've ever done. The dissonant guitar note in the chorus is fantastic!
Pedestal - I know it's just a b-side and it's a little sloppy at times, but, this track should've been on the album, it's great! |
