Is he going to be getting a song or two on every album from now on i wonder? fear? A Little like Martin Gore in Depeche mode. Except Gore can sing.

I can live with Nicky singing the occasional song, but this new thing where he randomly butts in to sing about four words at a time has really got to stop. Look, I'm a pretty hardcore fan, and I like Nicky's vocals. But when James is singing his heart out and Nicky blunders in, even I recoil in horror and confusion. I dread to think what a casual fan must think, and how many 14 year olds must've polished the fuck out of their CDs thinking it maybe had a bit of muck on it or something.

And what do you think, will Nicky sing it on the future concerts?

I think his singing is alright, and it suits the songs that he sings on. I'm glad to hear him having more of a hand in the music writing side of the band, I think his solo album shows some good songwriting and it's developed further since!

It's a shame that he's a dreadful singer, because his melodies and tone definitely offer something different. I just can't listen to anything by him though, just not an appealing voice.

I prefer his music and lyrics to his vocals.

I think he gets it right on Lady Lazarus. Unfortunately that is not the case with the song on Postcards!

Nicky isn't necessarily a good singer technically, but when he gets it right his vocals have a certain soul and passion that many "technically" good singers would kill for

I like his voice. I'm under no illusion that he's got the voice of an angel, but it's got something that appeals to me.
God, what a bland comment.

I don't really feel that I can vote either way, as I genuinly don't mind Nicky's singing, I wouldn't go as far as to say that he has a voice of an angel, but it's ok, adds another dimention to the band. I havn't heard the new one he sings on yet, but by all acounts it sounds pretty good.

He might not exactly have the voice of an angel, but it's definitely peculiar and unique. I don't mind him singing the odd Manics track on the album. I have to admit it took me a while to 'tune in' when I first listened to IKTZ, but now I'm totally fine with his singing!

Banned forever. His monotone, tuneless voice is a barbaric assault on the ear drums.
