One of the best Manics remixes.

It makes me want to float away, like that lad used to in that old-school Quaver advert.

If you've not heard it yet, do check out the Saint Etienne mix of TBTGOG as well. Another wonderful Manics remix to just float peacefully to.

It would be quite refreshing to see them do a version of this live.
Just James with some effects on his Fender and the keryboard fella making those spacey sounds. He can sing the actual verses instead of just repeating himself so it's like a mixture of the two versions. Would make a nice change from the acoustic break and be far superior to just playing the normal version with that BLOODY trumpet solo. Sadly, that's massively unlikely, obviously.

I love the trumpet solo in the original though!

The amusing thing with Manics remixes is that most of them are fairly shit but when one turns out to be good, it's really goddamn great.

I bet if Jamie XX remixed Lifeblood the music press would cream themselves and hail its genius.

This is also my favourite remix. Nothing further to add but;

I have no idea if any of their old old old Quaver ads exist on You Tube? (plus it won't load for me if they were) If you want to make sure I lose an arguement, just post gifs of them Quaver people and I'll never be brave to dare show my face in the thread again! And worst everyone under 20 doesn't know what I'm talking about again. This is also my favourite remix and the cannibal Quaver nightmare things are the perfect representive for the Kinobe mix. |

Absolutely adore the two remixes of Tolerate. David Holmes' one and the one by Massive Attack.

But then I love remixes. The Kinobe mix of Ocean Spray is probably the best.

(Just vaguely on the subject of remixes and reworks, the Manics 'version' of Massive Attack's Inertia Creeps is a cracker too.)
