Good thread idea! I've had many great moments over the years. Apart from meeting the band, I'd say:
-travelling to towns/cities (or in the case of Eire, countries) I'd never have otherwise gone to, purely because I was going to see MSP. -meeting lots of lovely people (some of whom have become very good friends), that I would never have otherwise met if it wasn't for MSP. -enjoying free food and canapes at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Ten years ago. Meeting Mr. Bradfield at Sony headquarters in Paris for a twenty minutes interview.

This! I was right in the middle of it. Totally blissful moment. Won't ever forget it.

Same here. Having the confetti rain down whilst ADFL was playing, was an incredibly moving moment.

I agree, that completely made the gig. Finding the confetti down my clothes for hours afterwards, not so fun!

Bumping into James in Virgin Megastore in early 1995 and him asking me what video tape I'd just bought and me saying something surprisingly uncheesy about Richey.
Getting covered in glitter at the end of the gig, the first time I saw them at The Hibernian in '91. |

Webster Hall, NYC '09. My first and so far only Manics gig; I waited almost 20 years and it was worth it. Also, the emotion there that night, I remember looking over at the girl standing next to me during A Design For Live she was shouting the lyrics with tears running down her face; my warbley moment was during This Is Yesterday, during the, "Someone somewhere soon" line. (Sorry, I just got a little teary again)
![]() And of course the folks I've meet on FD! My only regret was not finding the forum sooner so I could have meet up with more peeps during the NY show. Next round I'm coming over there!!

I remember the first time they were in the music press ( very early 90's ) and thinking that drummer is the kid who used to live at the bottom of the lane. Not buying Suicide Alley for a quid when it was for sale in The Square Cafe is a tad memorable.
