They'll probably play the Albert Hall in 2022 or something.

..How about THB 20 reissue tour (accompanying the 22 new tracks so far
GT20 has helped reopened my eyes as to how every song on that album matters now just as much as it did 20 years ago. Personally I love Damn Dog (especially JDB's acoustic rendition last Tuesday) compared to my usual (Stay Beautiful, Slash n' Burn and Motorcycle Emptiness main stays)

Yes, Damn Dog is amazing. James belting it out helps.

Damn Dog is pretty bad, whatever version - live, studio or acoustic!
Another thing that's occured to me - how on Earth did they fuck up Spectators of Suicide so badly? The Heavenly version is great, apart from the weak vocals. The demo shows huge promise, but then how did it get stripped back to that bullshit on the album?! It should have been a centre piece of the album, but it ended up being one of the worst moments. I've always had a lot of time of AIDS - the song, you fool! - I think it would sit on some crappy 80s film soundtrack perfectly, perhaps being played during the climax of the film where the girl and the guy get together and then BOOM! in to the credits. If they'd recorded and released it a few years earlier, I'm sure it would have been a smash hit in the US.

I've probably heard Generation Terrorists over a thousand times now and some tracks aren't standing up as well as others. I think besides the dvd, my highlight of the reissue is the demo of Natwest-Barclays-Midlands-Lloyds. On the original record I'd been getting a bit bored of it and found it a bit cringey, but I just love the demo. I love how kinda shambolic and energetic it is. Like Steve Brown said in the dvd, they've got blemishes all over the place that you can use and with that I think I kinda see what he means. Same with Love's Sweet Exile too, although it's a lot closer to the final version.

Probably would have done alright if it wasn't about AIDS.
I agree it does have a certain "Don't You Forget About Me"-ness to it!

On "Nat West-Barclays-Midlands-Llyods" (Marcus Demo) at about 2.41 there's this lovely bit of panio which plays for around 15 seconds. It sounds really nice. Not used in the final cut.
Also with the Marcus Demo of "Repeat", I quite like the less aggressive guitar solo which is played.

It's made me realize it isn't as bad as PFAYM...that's about it. I thought most of the demos would be more like the heavenly songs, a few were but most of them were too similar to the recorded versions. Expected much more from the LSE demo at least, the definitive versions of all the songs are live versions still.

Agree with some comments about Natwest being a great demo, also Born to End demo is fantastic, as is that remastered version.

I found the remaster and the demos very good but I just want to hear new stuff and not a resurgance of the past.
