Maybe because it sounds like it could be a stereophonics records they'll do a song with the phonics. I always dream of such a thing happening

For the first time since I was 15 years old, I couldn't care less about a new Manics album. I'll reserve judgement until I hear it of course, but I think this is the end for me and my appreciation of their music. Nothing since JFPL has had any impact on me...there's just no spark left.
![]() I am glad however for the rest of you who remain fans. Hope you all enjoy it! ![]() |

They've only released one album since JFPL, you're losing all hope after only that?

Not an especially Manicsy title and I don't like Richard Hawley, but we'll see how it sounds. Perhaps with zero expectations I'll love it?
"Only"?! THAT! ![]()

good to see we are being consistent in shitting on the band and the album before we've heard much of anything as of yet, instrumental being it.
it might be a decent album, for all we know. +1. if you don't have it, get it, yes you Franny.

"Forever Changes" + "7 minute epic" = http://youtu.be/3BiC7AzlRiI
They do love to make sure their projects are doomed to fail with these mission statements. But good luck to them. |

Honestly, the thought of them attempting something like You Set The Scene or Live and Let Live fills me with cringe. Remember So Why So Sad, people.

you have to remember we are entering a world where the songwriter and bass player considers Postcards to be "their greatest record ever". what Wire considers to be sounding "a bit like Forever Changes by Love" will thus have a fairly broad definition, as in "anything between the cultural poles that are Jedward and Cradle Of Filth". it could quite by accident sound rather good. yes it might not, but the glass is at least at the half-way mark.
