Nice to have some more info anyway
A missed opportunity indeed.

And wouldn't that be wonderful!? But seriously, Bradders only does backing vocals, so it doesn't count.
I doubt they'll sing it as a duet live, they could have easily done that with SKON (and turned a mediocre set staple into something interesting, but that's another story...) but never they never even tried.

That's the only band I know him from. Haven't listened to them in ages but remember really enjoying them. Off to see what else he's done.

Yes, Longpigs were quite good (first album), a pity they ended up fist fighting each other... He was in Pulp and did some solo stuff.

I am gonna dig out that first album later I reckon. Looked him up, see he worked with Pulp, but also Elbow and Arctic Monkeys. Bit hit and miss, hope this Manics track redeems that.

Gonna have to read this interview when I get home from work as my phone is terrible.

Didn't know about Elbow and AM, he's a really good guitar player, so I guess he has a lot of bands after him.

He also played guitar on the All Saints cover of Under the Bridge!

The Elbow track with him is really bloody good. Like a marvellous animated film villain boast duet.

I guess that was a dry period, and bills need to get paid, etc.
But still, that cover?! Jesus!
