Anything can sound like video game music nowadays that we've got consoles running on 64 bit processors....
Whatever, if you meant anything classic, then after Anamanaguchi, this will hardly sound like a game tune... ... Well, maybe a 16bit one? I like the song, btw. If I think of games, I'd put it either as a final boss battle in an RPG or simply a character background theme on the fighting field for a Street Fighter-like game.

I meant it sounds like the sort of instrumental music you'll find in a video game. That was the general consensus on another thread.

Love this track! Although part of it reminds me of the old Thames TV Ident from the 70's and 80's

Or the Crossroads theme! But still a superb instrumental and my favourite one they've ever done!

Sound the horns! I am of the mind that Dreaming A City - as unlikely as it seams for and instrumental - will one day be considered a triumph on par with Tolerate, Design and Motorcycle Emptiness. What a masterclass of playing - what I wouldn't give to hear it live, as an intro! - the quality of composition and just pure finesse here is far above what most, if not all bands are capable of producing nowadays. And what a guitar wankers DREAM too! Hugesovka is somewhere between the Manics' colorful conceptualism, the instrumental finesse of Yes, and of course JDB's favorite instrumental Theme For Great Cities (which he has suprassed in this - and I think he knows it too

It sounds like something from Harold Faltermyer, who did the music for Beverley Hills Cop and The Running Man. I like it a lot but it's absolutely ridiculous

Yeah it really reminds me of a song that'd be in a Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis/Mega Drive game.

![]() ![]() It wouldnt sound out of place on the couple of Satriani's albums i have...im loving all the sound wizardry and swooshes Sean has put into this track and on other songs on Futurology...whilst the computer game noises hark back to his love affair for playing Sonic etc back in the day it manages to also sound futuristic at the same time, echoing the sentiments of some i agree that few bands around can pull this type of stuff off with any aplomb! |

Question: what's the correct spelling of the word between brackets? The back of the cd case is different from the name given when i put my cd into the computer in order to extract tracks...

I think this sounds like a 80's cop show theme. They should do a Sabotage type video dressed up in like Miami Vice pastel colors etc. It would be funny.

Neverending Story or anything by Giorgio Moroder mixed with the theme tune from Command & Conquer: Red Alert
