Yeah. Considering they've got such a top director working with them you'd have expected better. Sad to see them back to phoning it in. After the triumph that was the follow up video last album, this is disappointing.

Another cheap video.

the 5 month gap between the two official singles just makes me wonder what the point is. are they just releasing a 2nd single because, as 90s chart veterans, "that's what you do"?
proves how dead the singles format is - a pre-release teaser track release or two is still necessary, but who's seriously going to pay for a standalone track like this now the album's out? personally, i'd like to have seen WMTTB and Europa released officially ahead of the album; then a follow up EP of the rest of the sessions / non-album tracks following release. maybe they should've held back the 3 deluxe bonus tracks and added the 2 Japanese bonus tracks for a 5 track 'Blistered Mirrors EP' or something similar.

It's not about anyone buying the single, it's about releasing a product which Sony can bung Radio 2 to playlist for a month in the hope it will sell the album to anyone who wasn't won over by the last one. All of which makes this MSP-by-numbers single such a wasted opportunity that undoes all the work the reviews boasting that the album represents a new and exciting sound for the band did.

I did receive the video info along with a Holy Bible mention in Manics Mail today - part of the mailing list.

Looks like my failure at killing ants has been due to vastly inadequate ant killing gear.

I thought they might have shown a shoe coming down and stamping on a bunch of ants or something. Meh, disappointing end to the Futurology era, hopefully they'll appear on Jools Holland sometime soon and play a few songs cos that single as a song and music video won't get anymore sales for the album in all fairness.

Sex, Power, Love and Money should have been the single. Catchy and infectious.

Had the album stayed top 40 they may have been more willing to spend more money on the video. Anthem was a brilliant video and that did nothing in the end

I don't think it was a good video. They used reasonably decent equipment to make it but the lumpy, hackneyed storyline make it look like a university student film.
