Glad to hear it And yeah, it always depresses me just how unfair the stalls are when people are squashed together at the front and the woman who is only 5'2" despite her best efforts can't see anything but the back of the guys standing in front of her. At least mosh pits aren't anywhere near as crushing and violent as they used to be. I remember my 1st MSP gig getting punched repeatedly in the back as they started with Motown Junk, then a boot in the head from a crowd surfer before the song was out...

Oddly one of those gigs where I just didn't quite feel it again. Maybe I'd already been spoilt with Rough Trade.

I think they always come off better at Brixton Academy. There's something about that sloping floor that really helps things. Also the sound seemed a bit dodgy tonight. A few clangers in the set too - Divine Youth and Hugesova (or whatever it's called) drawing largely a shrug of shoulders from the crowd

Nicer toilets and bar in the Roundhouse though obviously. And I did enjoy Manic Street Mania afterwards - more of that sort of thing please!

Talked to some girls outside who got picked out of the audience to attend the official after party... some things in Rock n Roll never change

I must be going blind in my old age. Thought it was Nickys when I was at the gig and looking at the video it looks as though the one he throws has a white strap and his Gibson has a black strap. Such a waste if it was the Gibson.

I do like the Roundhouse as a venue a lot, but agree the atmosphere for Brixton gigs tends to be better.

Brilliant gig, which I'm glad about because of the man who thought it was appropriate to call me a 'utter selfish cunt' and 'stupid bitch' very loudly in my earshot as I was getting into my place not causing a problem. I'd had an awful day and this pushed me over the edge and really upset me (probably the intention), leaving me crying for ages. Maybe next time he can speak to me directly about whatever the problem is without resorting to unnecessary viciousness directed to a woman clearly younger than him.

Disgraceful, sorry you had to deal with that, that's not right at all

Ugh, snotty comments from people stood next to you are the worst!

A long shot, but I bought a Large 'CCCP' grey tshirt from the touts outside and it's a bit small for me - anyone want it, or swap for an XL if you've got one that's too big?

Yes, that's awful That bloke can't have been much of a fan as misogyny and MSP don't mix. Hopefully in a day or two you'll forget all about the hateful bloke and be able to just focus on how great the band were instead.
