disagree!
Empty Souls is a far more intimate insight into the band, has a great continental feel to it, plus it has some great JDB hand gestures. I like the TLORN vid, but just because it has fancy effects doesn't make it superior...

I didn't say anything about effects...

I know!
Apologies if my post implied you did. What I was meaning was that the TLORN vid has some good effects in it and at first glance it is more visually interesting then Empty Souls. Although, personally I like the look and the feel of the Empty Souls vid better, as its a lot more personal to the band, and it has some great location shots in it.

Love of Richard Nixon is a bit of fun. With added political references. Light hearted It's not just about special effects, I mean, Indian Summer is quite a nice video with no special effects... |

The reason I like TLORN better is mainly because I feel the video reflects the song in every way. It's an imaginative video rather than just a performance video. It reminds me of their earlier videos. Although I agree what you say about Empty Souls, it has some great shots and it's a bit more personal than TLORN.

Is The Everlasting the one where they're all on fire? Yeah, that one's boring. And I like From Despair to Where, but that's probably because I love the song so much heh. So I would have switched those! And Indian Summer's nice. It's like the song - very carefree and happy. |

Fuck I need to go outside. Scrolled past the comments I'd already read and past this one, read that as Ann Summers.

I like the Everlasting video, it's different and kind of fits the mood in a way with it being slowed down. I've seen a version on TV where they chop the fire effects out and it's rubbish then. Always makes me smile when Sean looks at the camera and mimes a line of the song
Nixon video is cool, aye.

I can never get past the awkwardly miscast doubles they used in the Kevin Carter vid.
It's disappointing that even months after the unfortunate incident, they (or at least Nicky) are still completely unaware of why It's Not War fails as a music video on the most fundamental of levels. |

And did I miss something about It's Not War? There's another "classic" moment in that when Nicky looks right at the camera after fixing the giant chess board. Whoops! |
