Explanation - Postcards from a Young Man (the song) borrows a significant amount from Need Somebody to Love. Nicky has commented in the past that when playing it live he would be singing the Queen song during the outro!

Who cares
Shame he didn't die many years ago before he harmed anyone Victims and families have to go out and through it all again but at least now he's gone and done with and we have a better chance of forgetting the pointless nobody

I've just listened to a bootleg recording from 2005 where Motown Junk was preceded by a bit of Paradise City. I'm going to be honest, James sounded more like Freddie Mercury than Axl Rose!

Yourself wouldn't sound out of place on THB.

Manics Facebook song poll page is down!
It was really dramatic. Some great tracks, even from JFPL voted out in the first round. Last time I checked it was 189th or something. And then it was gone! Nothing done up in a search. I enjoyed voting in them and was humoured enough (plus Poll Clerk experience, yeah, you don't get what you want!) at the polling results. Would have made a spectacular playlist! |

Does the world need a cover of Motorcycle Emptiness by Pete Doherty with a slightly reggaesque feel? Not helped by the quality of the recording but I'm going to have to say no.

I think it's ok, maybe his thought of lockdown. At least he knows the words.

Yeah, I was thinking he looked and sounded like he was on a late 1990s Realplayer stream... or maybe an early 2000s mobile phone camera adapter.

I don't think he's a smart arse. It looks like he's just decided to sing Motorcycle Emptiness and record it. Not deceive, win points or try to bring the band down. Robbie Williams did the song and he didn't know the words.

(I feel like were still talking at cross-purposes!) Yeah I was just making fun of the terrible quality of the recording, I wouldnt have minded hearing it properly, but it could honestly be anyone and I still have no idea if I think the performance is any good(?!).
