Nicky did his shoulder in during Revol. His legs looked great.

James' first half sailor suit was lively.

I thought that You Love Us should have been played towards end rather than M Junk - but a brilliant gig and the sound was amazing. I love this band! Said he would see us all again in about two years time.

Nicky did his shoulder in during Revol. His legs did look lovely. As did James' first half sailor top. Nicky cut the ribbon off the back and James was upset.

Oops double post. Dumb quickly dying smart phone.

Great gig. The O2 need to sort out their security. Standing people were left outside in a MASSIVE queue, I was there at 19:10 and didn't get in the venue until 19:40, perhaps this is why the delay.

Nina was great, and the big screens were fantastic. Autumnsong sucks.

It was alright. The best bits were the unusual songs.

Some songs (e.g. Life Becoming a Landslide) played with parody-like slowness of pace.

O2 a great venue though and got in very quickly. Would be nice if they had lockers and if the area by entrance F was a little warmer!

If theres one thing I hate about FD, its that everyone always has somethingto moan about.
My legs kill, ears ringing, but god that was good. Revol, Found That Soul and Motown Junk were mental by me!
They are brilliant, and I feel bad for slagging them off now and again for some of the things they do, cos there's just something with these guys that I don't see or feel with any other band. Apologies if my jacket gave anyone rashes, apparently military wear is itchy.
Was nice to meet Franny, and the young lady who smiled at me who I didn't recognise but i assume is off here can definitely say hi on here
Stay Beautiful. X

Arch enemy? No we've put that behind us!

Revol was fab! I loved the video they were playing behind the band too. James didn't forget any words.

The Everlasting and the mirrorball! *sigh*

Home and in my jimjams in 1 hr 50 mins. My brothers didn't realise I wasn't home, they thought I was in my bedroom...

That gig was fucking amazing. It felt like how I've always imagined the millennium gig felt (wish I'd gone), except better, because there was nothing to moan about in terms of what they did and didn't play. That's the great thing about a theme gig like this - there's just no argument about what they played. I hate seeing Autumnsong, YSTSFMH and Australia at gigs, but I knew they were going to be played, and they couldn't have NOT played them, so I can't complain.

The best things about this gig were:
1. Love's Sweet Exile solo (I can die a happy man now)
2. Nicky's wee story about Richey telling him he'd written a song about "sex in the Kremlin" (or something to that effect) before kicking into an ace rendition of Revol
2.5. The extended break in Revol (if JDB was to kick into a massive solo after it, Revol would become an IMMENSE live song)
3. Empty Souls sounding more like the Isle Of Wight festival version than the album version (it REALLY WORKS without the slidy guitar notes type bit - they should do it like that and make it a regular on the set list!)
4. TBTGOG and TLORN sounding utterly amazing when they kicked in after the quieter parts
5. Just the utter celebratory mood during ADFL (I still have confetti in my hair, despite shaking my head for about ten minutes after the gig).

The only way that gig could have been improved is:
a) if they'd released 1985 as a single
b) if they'd played P.C.P. and Repeat as well (they were double A-sides after all!)
c) if I'd taken my glasses case to put my glasses in so i could go into the mixer a bit, and taken my Russian military jacket and balaclava (for the queue to get into section F more than anything)
d) if they'd released a single from JFPL
e) if Richey had made his grand reappearance.

If that was their last ever gig, it would have been a fitting end. Fortunately, they're going to be back in two years time!!!
