I was just hoping there'd be at least one Saturday gig - I'd have had no problem having a jaunt down to Manchester or London or whatever to see them on a Saturday. Mind you, most years I have loads of days left to take off at this time of year, so would actually be glad to have an excuse to use some up! Mind you, it also seems a bit weird that the gigs are only in two months - bands tend to book tours so far in advance these days that by the time the tickets arrive, you've forgotten what they're for!

In short, the man who had read everything published today, would be more stupid than a man who had read nothing." - Stewart Lee |

I can see the tour being a mix of National Treasures hits and maybe 2 tracks of the new album. I've seen the band many, many times and they rarely ever completely surprise me but they entertain. That's what I want. I think The Everlasting should definately be dropped now.

There are some big gaps but I wouldn't expect much more in the way of dates.
It would be unusual to announce dates that turn out to be only a small proportion of the entire tour. |

Since they've got their next, supposedly heavier album out early next year (which might be more suited to being played live) I imagine they'd just wait til then, and do a bigger tour.

I'm booking Newport and Bristol. Am already going to Hyde Park and No. 6 festival, so I think these will have to do for now...trouble is, once I've seen them, I get addicted and, like Oliver, PLEASE SIR, CAN I HAVE SOME MORE....
