Yeah I'm sure I'll see you next tour or whatever. Did anyone else like how Nicky had a mat laid down especially for him to not wear shoes on?

Ah, no worries. I was really knackered (slept at my parents' after the Hull gig, only to have my slumber rudely interrupted by fucking builders at 7am), which may explain why I was a little grumpy. Nice to meet you, squire.

Naive? Yeah right James! James has talked about how he used to look at porn mags in his mates garage and how he used to watch the same porn movie every lunchtime round a friends and none of them would dare go off to the loo and wank! It's sad that i remember these things.

First time at the venue. Not a fan to be honest. The acoustics upstairs and on the edge downstairs under the balcony etc were poor.

And that reminds me, I forgot to mention BSP. Waving Flags is the only song I know by them tbh, so I wasn't sure what to expect. They weren't bad, although I got a bit bored of the instrumentals and I couldn't really hear the guitarist singer with the walking boots (as opposed to the one in the bright orange kagool...sorry I don't know their names ). Oh and it was nice to chat to a few FDers in the queue too...Abby, I'm glad your tiger (Miles was it?) got to Nicky in the end I was also stood in front of you guys talking about kids TV shows...I assume the guy with the Fireman Sam ringtone is on here, but I don't know your name/username |

Now my 17 year old self would be giving me the evils, but i confess to being one of the singer-alongers to LBN - just found it very, very funny how bad we were, but passionately bad First of my 2 gigs this tour, so can't compare to earlier ones, but certainly this was a million miles better than the soulless big boxes I've seen them at in Manc over recent years. Crowd were brilliant, sound was amazing from where I was, a few people back... got that kind of feeling of being part of a secret club, which I've not had for a while. Motown Junk and Faster were personal highlights. So if we could have all that, but swap in a couple of the decent ones from PFAYM (second half) and a couple of unexpected fast oldies for Manc I'll be a happy lady. Jenny x (Paranoia/Ruby Slippers on the offchance any of you were one of the ten people who bought my zines back in the day!!) |
