Just noticed in the newspaper/magazines section that there seems to be an extra date listed in the NME article - a Belfast gig inbetween Dublin and Bristol. Maybe it was cancelled, or maybe they've not fully confirmed it yet?

But this NME was printed before they had the dates on their site yesterday, so maybe it was cancelled?

The Barras is fine from the city centre, its a ten/fifteen minute walk max (as long as you know where you're going). I'd go for a city centre hotel.

And the area around the Barras is probably not the kind you'd want to be spending the night in....

Oof that would be great..... checked the Ulster Hall website and there's nothing scheduled on the 21 september.... so if it was in the original list no reason why it should have been pulled from a scheduling point of view

i am doing ! Not going to get a train back to london at midnight All the hotels suggested are quite far away..looking for something a sensible walking distance away. Thought train back and hotel near cardiff central somewhere. 30 mins the train back from what i can tell ..last train just after midnight.

Yes, maybe then it's better to get a hotel near Cardiff train station. Austins is quite close (B&B) not super fancy but it's ok for a night. The Big Sleep is near too is the one I will be staying in August.

The band also spoke about the second record the Manics plan to release in early 2014. "I think by next March or April, we'll have it all ready," Wire says. "It's not just chucking something out; it's really fully formed. It's the next step on from 'The Holy Bible' and 'Journal For Plague Lovers'. It's quite intense but synthetic as well."
