They haven't changed anything, though.

No, that flaming apostrophe is still there after all.

The cover of the original has little dots between the song titles (underneath the painting); the reissue does not.

If they could make that change (an improvement in my opinion) then they could have got rid of the offending apostrophe. Bastards.

The copyright is on the title with the apostrophe I imagine so there might be legal implications if they used the grammatically correct version.

Holy shit, how amazing does the new remaster sound?

Not only for the UK mix, but my goodness, put some headphones on and stick the US mix of Mausoleum on. Wow.

Christmas gift here, too.

It's a truly gorgeous set. I listened to the vinyl for the first time yesterday, and it sounds amazing; not checked out the CDs yet.

The booklet is lovely, too. I've seen some griping about not all the material being legible (not on here), but that doesn't bother me, to be honest. It's got a great scrapbooky feel.

What does kind of bother me is the silly CD slots. But I've just taken them all out and put them in plastic sleeves.

The worst transgression, though: the record is in the wrong side of the gatefold! Come on, what single-LP gatefold is housed in the left-hand side?! Surely this is unique -- and not in a good way.

well, there's no problem with the record being on the left side, this time it was because of the slots and I would find it ridiculous to have CDs in slots on left side, so it all seems logical to me.

Really? I feel the vinyl is the main event here (and the heaviest), so having the CDs on the left would have been better.

Actually, best of all (imho and all that) would have been a standard right-side gatefold with no CD slots, and then a separate cardboard sheet to house the CDs.

I need to get a new amp before i can properly enjoy the vinyl, but the remaster CD is very good and it's a lovely little box set. I've always wanted that vinyl so pretty happy i got it as a present.

It needed to be double vinyl - to put this album on one record is truly dumb

I don't see why; all of their other albums except GT are on one record and THB isn't exactly an audiophile 45rpm album is it? It's lush as it is. I like the way it's neatly packaged onto one thing - one record of tirades against the world. It's a self contained piece in a self contained package, like JFPL.

That's still the 'old' US/Canadian mix though, right?

Why would two records help with that?
