The way all other gigs are just full of people from that city/town only. I really don't see how this gig is any different to others. People come from all over the place at ALL gigs; they're all just as 'deserving' of their ticket as each other.

Because it appears to be a small club, that's why. I'm not familiar with their fanbase in Britain, but I would imagine that they generally play larger venues where a great deal of people from all over have a chance at seeing the band.

Anyway, that's just my opinion. It's hardly likely it'll happen as the tickets are open to all not just the Scots. However, if I'm being honest, I do hope the Scots are settled before anyone else.

Well unless they have some magic powers that allow them to click faster on a website or dial a number quicker, they've got the same chance as the non-Scottish people

The reason bands play different venues around the country, and indeed different countries, is to let all their fans see them.... not the same bunch with more time/money/sense over and over again.

It's a fair point but really no-ones going to decide not to go to give some other fans a chance are they? Be realistic.

It's luck who gets tickets. Everyone goes through the same websites/phonelines. Implying that people who have seen them multiple times should consider not even trying to get tickets for the sake of another 'fan' who they don't even know is a bit ridiculous. Also, who's to say that people who go see them multiple times have too much time/money/sense? It's a hobby, same as any other.

I know that. Anyway, as long as I get tickets - which I probably won't knowing my shitty luck - I don't give a fuck who is there.

I'm just jealous of the people who can afford to see a full tour or catch a flight to see them. How inconsiderate of people to be richer than me.

I'll be on the site and the phone on the morning if I have to, if I don't get one before the two dozen or so that'll inevitably end up on eBay, I'm fucked.

They are only playing 1 gig and it's for 300 people, hardly designed to let all of glasgow see them, or all over the country if they did, they'd play the SECC. It's an intimate venue, I think anyone has an equal right to want to see them there. It's just the luck of the draw.

The same bunch of fans is what causes their tours to sell out and I am not sitting here criticising anyone for what they decide to spend their money on, I don't see why someone who chooses to spend their time and holiday a year following bands is any different. If someone was purposefully buying up tickets to stop people going then fair enough, but really, come on.

Yeah, that's why they tour. But this isn't a tour, so people from all over the place are going to want to go to a one-off gig just as much as the local people do.

Plus, I don't think it's really up to the band who comes to their gigs (nor do I think they'd care anyway). If the same people want to follow a band around on tour, that's their pregogative. They pay the same amount for their tickets, so it's not really up to anyone else. Plus, on a tour there are going to be more gigs, therefore more tickets available, so the relatively small hardcore who do do multiple dates are hardly going to steal all the tickets so there aren't any for everyone else.
