It's the default festival/abroad setlist they wrote ca. two years ago! But at least they're loving it and the audience is having a ball.

It's logic that they play greatest hits there, also it's not an album tour gig.

Just got home. Couldn't stick around for them to come ou and missed out on a set list (the perils of having a seat rather than the usual front row)

They took Australia off the set list. When James mentioned Australia in some chit chat he got a wonderful panto boo from the crowd. Heaps of lovely Welsh people were there, made me a bit homesick for Cardiff

It was a brilliant gig, brought back so many happy memories of gigs I've been to in the UK. Being in a seat was a bit weird and i think i may have scared the people behind me with my singing and pointy-shouty.

The gig wasn't a sell-out but there were only a few empty seats and the standing area was packed, I'm pleased we turned out for them and it sounds like they quite like it here in the City of Sails

I'm so glad I decided to go. Definitely the best day I've had since coming back to NZ!

Thank you James. Nicky and Sean for coming all the way here, we love you!

Same setlist I think except for Despair instead of Australia (wise choice, big boos after they mentione Australia) and Small Black Flowers instead of Can't Take My Eyes Off You

I''m pretty shot. It was quite emotional and tiring. Was at the very front between James and Nicky. It was a great gig. I was pleased to see that the stadium did fill up. I think ticket sales had been rather sluggish before the gig. Very Auckland. Good mix of ages in the audience. James was in top form. I sensed he had a few guitar problems for the first two songs, but that was fixed. Have to be honest and say I was a fraction disappointed that we didn't get "Faster" but we did get "Revol". Gee that's a tricky song to sing along to. Sorts the fans out does that one. Small Black Flowers was really nice. It did remind me (although I never do forget) of the genius of Richey. Getting that was a treat. Nicky behaved. He did look a bit tired 'tho. I don't think there was one dud moment at all. Great to fans travelling from all corners of NZ to attend the gig. Wellington, New Plymouth and of course Invercargill. Lovely fans too.

Righto. I'm exhausted. A big day and now off to bed.

I know that band have taken a bit of cop in the UK for being on X Factor and I realise that a X Factor in NZ is pretty much the same as being on one in another country. But of us in NZ it was a pretty big deal. Different yes from all the crap on that show, but it was a pretty big thing for the band to get on there.
