I think both songs were dropped early on in the last decade for a while. When a song is dropped for a few tours it generally sounds fresher when it's reintroduced. Reckon Wire wants to keep both songs in, James is the fussy one Although in terms of pure casual fans, I really don't think they would know either song as they weren't massive singles and were released fairly early on.

Motown Junk went missing during the first set of Lifeblood gigs, but I don't think You Love Us has ever been omitted from a full length gig.

I'd argue there's six songs that the Manics consider undroppable, those two plus Motorcycle, Design for Life, Tolerate and You Stole the Sun (possibly YLAINE as well) which are going to be played every gig till the band give it up.

Really really enjoyed last night. They were on top form again. Archives was much closer to the original speed compared to Cardiff last week and I enjoyed it a lot more.

i can never remember the words to motown junk aside from that john lennon line.. i don't belong on the barrier do I?
