Have you checked that train is definitely running? There was talk of engineering works out of cardiff.. hardly any or no trains at all after the gig

Google Maps suggests that on foot it will take 6hrs 19min. Do you own a bicycle?

I've done this journey on a Saturday night before and I think the last train (if there isn't a strike) will be around 11pm. A cab will be pricey, over £50 I reckon.

Sounds similar to my plans (find pub, let crowds die down, get on (hopefully) less crowded train).

I'm sure the taxi back wasn't that badly priced back in 2011, but that probably was compared to sharing an overfull train.

It's not down the road, but there are buses, I reckon the last one will be around 11pmish, I've never taken it though so I don't know how long it takes, maybe 45 minutes to an hour?

From memory it's the X2 you want, so you should be able to find a timetable online.

It'd be a bloody long road! Should be about 45 minutes journey on the bus, I think the last one goes at about 23:10 but I'd check where from (if you can) if some of the roads will still be closed at that time because they tend to shift the stops around.

Same place, £30 compared to £80 plus in Cardiff seemed liked a good idea at the time.

(I've since spent that difference on an extra night in Cardiff to avoid the strikes)
