Well, last night was pretty damn special. I had tickets right at the back and was slightly worried about the view, and whilst the band were obviously tiny (and the screens not big enough really), it did afford a great view of the light show which was spectacular at times (Faster, The Everlasting, etc).

All the live staples (ME, Faster, You Love Us, etc) were solid and amazing as always, although I do enjoy the additional orchestral intro to Motorcycle Emptiness.

Highlight of the night for me was definitely Revol, fifteen years and fourteen Manics gigs to see that! The extended breakdown and video were brilliant, and couldn't stop grinning throughout.

Empty Souls was great, I enjoyed She is Suffering and There by the Grace of God. Slash n Burn was the best I've ever heard live, although I half expected Bruce Dickinson to walk on stage and demand more cowbell!

Loves Sweet Exile was a bit disappointing really despite Bradders nailing the solo (and everything else he played), can be put back into hibernation for another seventeen years. TLORN didn't work, So Why So Sad was just wierd.

Roll on the DVD please....

Doing a sexy pelvic thrust dance to Empty Souls is the way forward.

I fucking love the Manics, despite an appalling queuing system I had an amazing day eating baked goods, singing the Pokemon song and lolling at Wire. Atmosphere was fantastic down front and the band were really giving it their all, couldn't ask for more. Met many lovely people and saw some old faces, too many to name but you're all great.

I really liked SWSS. It reminds me if the early days of me getting into the Manics

During Revol... "if Berlusconi had been born into the seat of Italian politics he'd have been part of this ficking song!"

And Nicky's story; "Richey said I've got this amazing lyric. I said what's that then? He said its about group sex in the Kremlin! I said it sounds like a winner to me, Rich!"

Speaking to some of the Cardiff City fans who went to the after show party and they said only Nicky Wire made it there. That suprised me as I thought he would be the first to bed

Last night was great. The venue is very overated, very full.

Nice to see everyone looking great etc...

Didn't like how some songs were really sloooooooowed down.

15,000 saying fuck off was cool though!

So Why So Sad, Revol and Grace Of God especially really moved me - despite how the band routinely slag them off! I was unexpectedly touched by Suicide Is Painless too for some reason, it sounded great.

The band played their double A sides of Found That Soul and So Why So Sad, but didn't do the same with Faster/PCP. So no PCP!

Nicky, I love you.
Right, I'll write a proper comment when I come back home.

Mr Bowlase got in and spoke to James. Think Gruff was in there as well.

Yeah, but the same kinda thing. They should have played it!

Actually when they came back on fit the second half with all the sirens playing I thought they were going to fire into Repeat! But instead we got an awkward gap of silence and Austrailia.
