Looks like WibblyWobbly have posted some more info on here. Just going to check it out. Yeah, wonder if that person is Elizabeth?

First I heard about all this. Had to read back over the thing. I guess I need to start paying more attention. I was thinking earlier that the manics have not released a dvd in years. Has there been anything since the greatest hits? I guess the special editions of THB and EMB had dvds. I really do love THB dvd. I only wish I could find the bloody thing!! At best it's in the box of another dvd, at worst I will have to buy it again.

When it comes I should imagine. Patience is a virtue and all that! I'm really eager too though!

Patience is a virtue, but they've been making this thing over 4 years now! Who's directing it, Kevin Shields?

I love the interview clips of the boys but this constant collection of gig footage when the original stuff is already so out of date is just annoying. My friend was 21 when she was interviewed for this and you can see her in the trailer. She's almost 27 now. I just hope nothing I said in the U.S. was camera-worthy as I really didn't want to feature. |

They haven't been making it 8 years?! Wolverhampton was the first I'd heard of it, anyway. Buuuut if they're adding stuff from the U.S they're never gonna finish! They'll do a bit of studio filming, follow them around on the next tour... I'm convinced Wibbly Wobby Productions isn't actually a filming company, just a stalker

I'm certain there's gig footage from 2001 or 2002, though maybe there isn't I'll have to check. I think someone mentioned it was around that long though or maybe it just became longer in my head... Either way, it's already far too long for me to still be interested if it wasn't for James cooking fryups and Nicky's compost heaps.

The earliest UK footage I think would be from 2002 as I remember Elizabeth from the birmingham gig on the greatest hits tour, but then it was just talking to fans etc. There might be earlier talking to fans stuff outside of at gigs etc though. But the band didn't get involved (well to the extent of being interviewed and their being concert footage as obviously they aren't involved in terms of any editorial/directional decisions) until 2005.
The timing issue is a hard one though as obviously some of that footage is very dated now, though that said on seeing the work in progress screenings that wasn't one of my complaints at all more that the end felt underdeveloped which I'm guessing is what they've been remedying. Also you have to remember to a significant extent its a self funded labour of love, so the people making it need to go do other work so they can afford to make it - which I think sometimes people lose track of. I dunno, I don't think I was ever that excited about it- mostly due to years now of having trying to dodge camera crews at gigs (especially the first 4 PPF dates) but it will be interesting to see (with the footage they've got it could go either way really). That clip is odd though as it made me question what I think about at manics gigs, and I think I might actually be in the James camp. Which is odd as usually I spend my whole time thinking about a million and one things scatterbrained at once, maybe thats why I like seeing them - its like a break from being me.
