And some nice professional photos from Under The Radar. http://www.undertheradar.co.nz/photo...-Preachers.utr You can see Nicky's t-shirt image a little bit, but I'm mystified as to what the image is of. One of the photographers really started to annoy me. I was wanting to look at James' iconic stance during the opening song "Motorcycle Emptiness" but the photographer was blocking my view. I gave him a little hurry along tap on the shoulder.

I've got bruises from the barrier today - but well worth it! I was right in front of Nicky, nearly died when he gave me a big grin

How many people were at the NZ show? I read on the internet that the place they played has a 12,000 capacity. Great if they had nearly that many people there!

Really enjoyed the interviews, some good questions (and good answers!) there

Vector Arena did a half stadium. Hard to guage as ticket sales were sluggish up to the start. I'd say around 3,000.

Just a bit odd unless I'm wrong, they've not played anything new at all, correct?
If that's true, its just mainly singles they are playing |

And your post seems as good as any a point for me to eat a big helping of crow for my "they're totally gonna play Australia in NZ" tip. I like to think that James got into the van, went "oh shit" and said, "so, about the set list for Fed Square tomorrow..." Oh, and I take back what I said about the Lions fans. Auckland's crowd was in many ways awesome - particularly since it was sparse enough late enough for me to grab a spot one row back from James's mic stand ![]() ![]() Sydney tomorrow night. I don't think y'all can top these two, Synny, but do us a favour and prove me wrong, it won't be the first time this tour...

Melbourne crowds utterly destroy sydney ones in a general sense but hey, with such a big expat contingent who knows?

Yeah, it's hard to say, I imagine the Australian shows have a contingent of rugby tourists who probably aren't strictly fans, but just think it would be something fun to do while they're in town - might change the vibe a bit.
It does at full capacity, but they curtain it off to half size, and I'm not sure what the capacity of that is. It was reasonably full at half size, so like Librarian on Fire I'm guessing 3-4000. It was a pretty good showing - I was pleasantly surprised!

Trying to read this thread but avoid setlist spoilers (as if I don't already know it's all the damn singles!) for Sydney.....
QUICK QUESTION Anyone seen/heard any info regarding an acoustic gig in Sydney on Saturday?
