Here’s a random one. I’ve recently started collecting vinyl so obviously getting the Manics albums is one of the first things on the list. Anyway, a shop in the valleys posted that they had an original copy of Generation Terrorists so I popped up there this morning. It had sold but they did have an original pressing of This is My Truth at a great price. I bought it and left happy.
On my way home I popped into my local used record store in Cardiff and got chatting to the owner. I told him about trying to get a copy of GT but it being sold etc. As we are chatting a woman comes in with a carrier bag full of records that she was looking to sell. The store owner tells her to come back in 10 mins so he can look through them and give her a price. He calls me over and says ‘what was the Manics album you were after?’. There was only a copy in the bag. An original pressing of GT. He bought the records and sold me GT at a very reasonable price. I honestly cannot believe it. I had to buy it just for the story. Insane timing

Now you’ll have to listen to… Was it little baby nothing?… And see if it has a film sample at the start. If it doesn’t, there’s one more even more original version to get.
