Haha I know, I'm really not counting my chickens just yet. It was hard enough getting tickets for Idlewild there and there were 5 gigs rather than just the one. I'm more than prepared for not getting tickets, but tbh, I wasn't expecting a gig so soon, so it would just be a nice bonus if I did get to go.

What the f***? It's a one off gig at their (perhaps) FAVOURITE venue to celebrate its birthday. Get over it if you happen to live in London and can't afford the cost of travelling to Glasgow at such 'late' notice. That's life

They were most likely invited to play, and it should not be assumed that it's a warm up or anything for a tour. So bloody what if only 5 million people live in Scotland? The Strathclyde area is no doubt as populated as any other individual densely populated area of England apart from Central and Greater London (and perhaps Birmingham)

Ok, so they played at T in the Park last year, so?

I get the analogy your trying to make, but it's hardly the same comparrison. Canada and the US do not share the same government, money or economy - there both completely autonomous countries (mind you, we do have some common links however), whereas that's not the case in the UK. I think I can be forgiven for the confusion given the different regions within the UK that seem largely distinct yet are bound by a common political and economic situation. It's a bit more confusing then what we have going on in N America. Know what I mean?

No one's saying that - people are complaining about being told by scottish fans that they aren't allowed to go! I think we got over the fact it was in glasgow about five pages ago...

Sorry - I didn't mean lumping them together - I mean it's like the US being made up of states and Canada being composed of (whatever you call the regions). It's not perfect, but it's a good enough analogy.

I'm Scottish, not British, and I don't give a fuck what my passport says. My nationality is Scottish.
