Nope, can't be that as I got one and have moved house 5 times since I would've signed up for the mailing list but still had a postcard. I think they must have the addresses from things like the JFPL pre-order or perhaps last years' tour.

Just got the NME - what is with James' new facial expression? Happy with their clothes though, skinny jeans coming back in is the best thing that could have happened to Nick, but that parting's a bit severe for me.

Just been listening to SATT for the first time in ages, and thinking that I would be really disappointed if that album was coming out now, after JFPL! At the time, it was such a relief that the Manics were rocking again after Lifeblood that it seemed like a pretty decent album.

But then they raised the bar!

I think gospel choir sounds like a good idea though, it makes me think Another Invented Disease!

Yes I would say maybe Townsend records have sent them out.

I've received some, I thought that maybe they were sent out by ticket vendors via sony or something?

I've never signed up with my address on the official site or brought anything from Townsend ; )

I think you're right Simon.
The postmark shows it's from Nottingham which is where see tickets are based so it's possible that it is them.

Isn't it a slight waste of time for seetickets to send out a postcard to advertise an event(s) that I've just bought tickets for? I'm not saying it wasn't them, just a little less than productive.

I think it's if you've brought tickets from them for MSP in the past they have sent them out regardless of if you have purchased any for this tour or not

Presumably they were sent 2nd class and as we weren't meant to be able to buy them until tomorrow it's not that daft.

Tip for the paranoid: Something I always do when filling in my name when signing up for anything is to add a little something to my name so I know where any marketing stuff sources from. Just an underscore and then the company appended to my surname does the trick, Red_Seetickets, for example. It just means that whenever I get marketing, I know who it's from. Or, when I'm asked for a phone number, I put "Redseet" down, so it looks inconsipuous to the caller, but totally obvious to me where the dirty bastards calling to offer me a free holiday got my details from.
