Generally, that's true (see especially EMG-era, which are pretty boring, apart from James's 'I am Billy Coogan [sic]' line at the beginning of No Surface), but GT is so overblown that I would not be surprised if some of teh demos were better than the studio version.

I kinda had a feeling that the 3rd disc would have the B-sides. I thought the U.S. mix would have least made an appearance. I am so afraid of the price for it. So far they are 0-2 for their prices for boxsets..

The 3rd cd sounds good but to be honest the reason why I want that limited edition is the book.Does anyone have more info about it? Anyway I'm worried about the price and the fact there is still no clue of it doesn't look very promising.

The deluxe will come in at £100 if the recent Sex Pistols reissue is anything to go by - that's 3 CDs, DVD and book

£100? That's me out then. I'm not paying that kind of money for an album I really don't think is all that good.

If those of you only interested in the tunes want to make back at least a portion of the cost of this set, I'll buy the video off you and the book. That's the only part of this delux set I want.

If I get the 3 CD version, it'll have to be a joint purchase with James (MSPKYE), as a) it's bound to be a lot of money and b) we really don't want two of these when we eventually move in together

We're already going to have shitloads of duplicate Manics stuff to get rid of somewhere down the line, don't really want any more.

I'm a little disapointed that Suicide Alley hasn't snuck on there other than in demo form. Especially as M*A*S*H has.

I can't justify any price like that kind of figure. I'm getting it for Christmas as a present, might ask my parents to get me it but there's no way I'd ask for something priced at £100. I'll ask for the 2CD/DVD version, it's the DVD I'm most interested in.
