Not a proper one in book form though! (Not that I'm aware of anyway!)

Beautifuldistortion is right though, let’s give it a chance! The EMG and THB anniversary re-issues are wonderful, I’m sure they’ll do a good job of it if it does happen. Saying that, fIf Sean record some real drums though that would be nice...

Modern drums would still be matched with 80s guitar distortion and untrained James voice...

I'd actually like them to rerecord/reimagine it. Maybe do an acoustic version like the bonus disc of The Cure greatest hits.

Re-recording could be interesting... Can't imagine it happening though.

What demos related to the album are already available on bootlegs? I'm thinking...

Democracy Coma
Love's Sweet Exile (Faceless Sense of Void)
Methadone Pretty
Repeat
RP McMurphy
Soul Contamination
Stay Beautiful (Generation Terrorists)
You Love Us

If they've found 13 more in addition to those, that's the second disc sorted.

If they really do go with a GT re-release, I really hope the bonus stuff isn't just going to be a demo/live galore and instead they include all the b-sides as well (hello THB rerelease). And preferably in their original guises rather than pointlessly edited (hello Black Garden on the EMG rerelease).

Re-recording would be excellent idea, and an acoustic 2nd disc would be a lovely bonus - doubtful, but would be great.
Other than that, some new artwork (maybe a non, pinky coloured front cover!) remastered audio, a DVD, demos and a few live shows would make me a very happy Manics fan
I am dying to hear 'Condemned to Rock n Roll' live!

What did they do to Black Garden? I don't remember noticing any differences.

I'd rather a load of unreleased stuff to be honest, the bsides are easy enough to get hold of on their original format if desired.

.

They cut and moved (a fuller version of) the "Glory Glory..." intro to a separate track. I don't think it was pointless, it was nice to have them separated out, especially for people who already had the original version - I too would always rather new/different stuff, especially when the original versions are not very hard to obtain.

Well it was a part of the original track, inserting the intro as its own separate track is just... daft. And aye, you can get hold of the b-sides otherwise too but IMO album deluxe versions should always include them for completionism's sake - they were a part of the era after all, and I'd much rather have that side represented in a re-release than eg some live stuff.

This is the sort of stuff that us b-side OCD twits focus on way too much.

I've spent the last week or so reorganising all my Manics bsides into proper order, separating the cover versions into their own album and trying to work out the chronology of the officially released live recordings. I'm definitely an OCD bside twit!

I'm happy for them to include the bsides as long as it isn't instead of unreleased material.
