Are those overall figures or just for the week? Cause otherwise considering the other 2 were on their 2nd weeks of release that's bloody marvellous

I'd look to see where they've started the second week on Amazon and iTunes, but it's obviously a waste of time.

Can't believe how bloody close they were in the end to getting a #1, Goddamnit!
I reckon it should stay in the top 10 this week hopefully.
Still #1 on Amazon download despite going back up in price now from the £3.99.

Pretty close! Are they sure they want to write this whole campaign off as a failure? That's really not bad at all.

As soon as the album is finished and promo copies are distributed, they should sell the CD on pre-order with an immediate medium-quality mp3 download. Maybe most of the people who illegally download the leak will just buy the album instead, and it'll contribute to the first-week sales. I can't see many Phil Collins fans illegally downloading his albums.

Not a bad showing, but I'm a little disappointed. It wasn't promoted much though, was it? I didn't hear much buzz about it. I mean, if I wasn't already a fan, I don't think I'd even have known they were releasing a new record.

Garrghh - anybody know what sales Phil and The Script had last week? It would be annoying if they had a sales increase this past week.

Phil went up by about 5k, (35k last week) mainly thanks to his ITV special

The Script sold about 71,000 last week so they dropped off quite a bit.

Have they written it off? It's a pretty good result, especially for a bands 10th album.
Did it outsell SATT first week? Actually maybe it didn't seeing as SATT went to number 2, almost number 1. But maybe it had less competition.

Yes it is. But the total sales (and total sales around the world) will be far more important, not talking about America which would be important. For me it's satisfiing that this week album that was made as a last shot at mass communication was No.3 in its first week just like JFPL, the great uncommercional record. I hope they see that what they should do is to release good albums and not to use stings in every song.
