There was quite a bit! James mentioned him before Faster then Nicky told a story about him before Revol and then James mentioned him again at the end and said that it was sad he couldn't be with them on stage.

Was so funny when these 4 people (2 males/females) in their 40's at least tried to get close during the interval & when Australia got into drive they chickened out big time

Having gigged for so long you always know the ones who won't last 45 seconds Bloody wimps

Think I saw that! Was one of the men wearing glasses and one of the women had dyed blonde hair?! A lovely looking foreign blonde girl near me kept squealing in fits of either orgasmic pleasure or sheer panic when it got a bit pushy! She sang all the way through LBN too - knew all the words!!

I noticed a few people pushing their way in during the interval and like mentioned, I knew they wouldn't last and I don't think they did. The 2nd period calmed down where I was due to peopel moving about and nobody was jumping about much so I moved across a few feet more to the centre and it was better but I didn't right into the thick of it. Some good mental jumping and crowd swaying when the gig started, me and my brother were like "YEAH!!"
There was one guy next to me for a while until the end, I think he was on his own, and was singing along word for word passionately and rocking away in his own little world. I was gonna grab him and jump around on Design For Life but thought he might think I was a weirdo so just jumped about on my own

Bradders was at the after show party, along with Nicky Wire, Gruff, Wayne, Simon Price, Martin Hall and Holly from the NT album cover.

Me and two other friends managed to blag our way into the after party. We told the manager on the door of the club that we were friends of JDB. He asked us to write down our names on a piece of paper, and my mate wrote:

James,

It's Greg, Tris and Guy. Stay Beautiful x

The manager then went to find James in the party. We thought we'd get rejected, but he came back and said we could go in!

The next thing I know I'm shaking hands with JDB himself and telling him how surreal it is to finally meet on of my all time heros. He modestly thanked me for my kind words and said that he hoped it wasn't disappointing to find out my hero was shorter than me. What a legend! He also said he'd had a great gig, and he thought the crowd had been amazing, and he'd really connected with them.

WHAT A NIGHT!!!

Not sure I think all this laughing at people in their 40s for failing to cope with the mosh is cool. The Manics are in their 40s and I guess alot of their fans are in their 40s and 50s too. Lots of teenager girls (and some boys) not used to the mosh struggle too. Is that as funny when they panic and retreat in the mosh as ageism? If you're arguing it was funny because they were trying to push in, ok. But calling people wimps for not being as strong as you in the melee isn't cool.

I had a group of 3 meathead guys and 2 dolled up ol' birds in their 40s push in past me in the middle of mosh. Apart from the fact one of them kept farting, and the skinhead had serious elbow non-awareness, the biggest guy just let me be pushed into him all night as he tried to protect his date so he could get a ride later that night. Lucky boy (me!)

I left the show with exactly the same thought, about wanting to be in a band. I currently play in a band with some friends from uni, but the four of us live in four different cities in england: chester (our guitarist), durham (our drummer), birmingham (singer) and london (little old me), so getting the four of us together for practice/gigging/recording is very difficult anyway, and has recently been complicated by our singer and his wife having a child, as wonderful as that is.

I need to find me some london-based band peoples.
*goes off to manic musicians*
