In conclusion, waaay too jolly for me and here's hoping the album better be bloody good.
I'm starting to see the "sale jingle" in it now.

Forever Delayed: Great for news, shite for fans! I'm happy with the single though. I love their previous nine albums and I reckon I'll love this one.

Funny that people who like the Manics are in the minority here. I say funny, I mean tragic.

For me it's what I wanted from them. It's a pop song so enjoy it! Don't analyse it! It's called a hook in a song for a reason. On a lighter note my mate heard it and thought it was a blink 182 song. If that's the mass communication shot then fair play it worked for him!

um just cos you don't like a song doesnt mean you don't like the band. There's roughly 4 or 5 songs out of hundreds i don't much care for...doesn't mean i'm down on the band all the time

Funny how some people are incapable of understanding that one can still love the Manics without lapping up everything they produce. I say funny...

I'll sure as hell buy the CD singles. I've become an avid Manics singles collector in the past year and considering how it's a bitch to find LB/SATT era singles on used music stores, I'm getting the new ones easily while I still can.

Pff, I don't! That's why I only come here around an album's release or tour, to keep up with news.

Good job the comment wasn't solely aimed at you then.

Not liking, or not thinking one song is amazing is hardly not liking the Manics. There's always a division of opinion on new material; I don't know why people have to take it so personally.

Preaching to the choir, there. I just find it sad that the fact that TGW likes a lot of the Manics back catalogue is treat as a bit of a joke, even she sees the funny side.

Back on topic... Does anyone know if the single is being released on coloured vinyl, or standard black? As someone pointed out to me recently, it's been a long time since they released a coloured vinyl (bar An English Gentleman) or picture disc.

It's quite like a mash-up of Send Away The Tigers, YLAINE and something else that I can't put my finger on. Really think this can be a massive hit, although I feel they could've gone with a bit of a catchier chorus (to reeeally make sure
this goes to No. 1). C'mon, these guys have been writing songs for 25 years.
But it could still be No. 1... ;-)
