sofarsideways, good to see you got the support as well The Roundhouse were superb with customer care! I shall have to write them a stiff letter of thanks. On cardboard

great show... that is all

And Londoners know how to queue... it's people from outside London who see the pulsing mass of people and assume if you don't push and shove then you'll get pushed and shoved. Born and bred Londoners know that it's a ballet and things move faster in the long run if we all weave a bit

Not surprised the roundhouse team did lots to help with accessibility - they are stars, it's a great venue.

I was by the sounddesk for the 2nd set, great atmosphere. the lady next to me was quite taken with my fanboy dancing and singing, called me a darling boy and gave me a peck - had forgotten what a lovely, celebratory atmosphere MSP gigs usually have (haven't seen them since the lifeblood tour)! Most of my gigs are metal and grime, which are usually pretty sour faced affairs.

anyway great gig, great venue, great crowd, roll on cardiff

Very pleased to hear how good the Roundhouse was with accessibility for the fans who needed it. The cloakroom and bag-check staff also dealt well.

I could write a long, gushing post about every detail of the show, but suffice to say it was the best birthday I've ever had and I don't know what will ever top it! I'm even more excited for Cardiff Castle now (didn't think it was at all possible), not least to see if Nicky keeps his Comfort Comes / camo dress promise.

Special mention to the Manic Street Mania clubnight afterwards, had a fabulous time!

ETA, now I've read the queue debate: The Faster remix intro was already playing by the time my group got into the main room, after arsing round with the cloakroom became necessary, and we managed to get to the barrier. Quite far over to the right but still a brilliant view, especially for a little short-arse like me

There was a rather tense moment when there was a 50 odd person deep queue for the cloakroom at 20:45... managed to get sorted and run up stairs for the first verse of Yes!

Has anyone got a link to a video of You Love Us with Andy Cairns?
I've seen one on youtube from back in the seats but would love a closer version!

It was so epic

That's exactly where I got stuck! Legged it upstairs and down to the front literally a matter of seconds before they walked onstage.

don't suppose anyone can remember much of the pre-gig DJ set or has access to a playlist for it? one track stood out, but couldn't be Shazamed as it was a remix. was played near the end of the set, and was followed by Echo & The Bunnymen. can't even tell you how it went but enjoyed whatever it was.

Incidentally, I am an 'Londoner'. Unjust probably but I travel all over for gigs and attend a lot. The majority of unjustified aggressive trouble I've ever experienced has been at London gigs. Going on 18 years of 100's of gigs in every city in the UK.

Also, to Krystal/Crystal - I didn't mention the queue. I have nothing against the queue people. Good on them for having the stamina. I'm much happier in a nearby pub until doors open.

Anyway,
I'm STILL finding that glitter tape stuff from the confetti canons everywhere! How glorious it must've looked from the seated bit though. It's a shame we didn't get a bit of Last Christmas at this gig. I was overjoyed to have Show Me The Wonder back though and such a treat to hear it acoustically.

Thanks to the @manics for inviting me to play some records at the Roundhouse shows. A few people have asked for a tracklist of the records played so I'll post it up later, either here or on Facebook.. #thb20 #theholybible20
