most places i have searched have it for under a fiver, thus it is not all that an expensive thing to do. i am prepared to stump up for an extra copy or two just to see what he tweets about it.

I would be up for it, though it would mean buying caged eggs instead of fresh eggs for a week!! I always said if I ever win the lottery I would send everyone on here a tenner just to go and buy Lifeblood.

If I thought there was a chance we could get 700 people to buy it, I would consider it.

fair play mate, hope for better times soon.

for those who can get this one going, let's try a concerted effort. obviously we are going to need to select a specific week, get the facebook and twitter thing going, etc.

i will have a dig around on the net and see if i can work out a trend showing which weeks have low sales.

we'll also need to work out from which UK stores us non-UK need to order from that will contribute to the charts - i am only aware of amazon and HMV at this stage, not sure on record store. i would imagine / assume iTunes Uk counts to the charts, yeah? i think there's a way to purchase iTunes UK from outside the UK, something to do with purchasing vouchers?

outstanding to all of those who have said yeah - for those who can't or won't join in with the buy drive, could i ask you to give consideration to plugging it (once only) via the social networks?

let me do some digging, then, and i guess this will warrant its own thread....

Yup, pretty much this.

How many people regularly visit this forum? And how many people would actually buy the album again?

I can see us hitting 60-100 or so, but I think 700 is asking too much.

i think it's worth a shot - what was it Wire said, something about let us all fail together? if we have an unobtrusive go, set up a "Project Lifeblood" facebook page and everyone here simply "likes" it with the undertaking there shall be no messages or spam from it except to state the date of buying, who knows?

can't seem to find any stats for when album sales are low, bar (sadly) January. open to suggestions as to when to hit it - a random thought would be 1st week of April, presumably all who can and will get involved will have a few coins left from payday, and it only being a 4 day week might cut the number of general sales?

And how many do you think would actually spend it on Lifeblood?

Gutless Wonder is the answer, really. she would intercept the tenner by whichever means they were transferred and ensure they were spent on Lifeblood.

I would! Or shall I just buy the 700 copies myself?

Instead of buying Lifeblood, those 700 people should pick up a copy of the last Duran Duran album instead. Lifeblood with better tunes and lyrics.

Better lyrics? Really? Even Nicky's most cringeworthy lyrical moments pale in comparison to the stink fest that is Simon Le Bon's words.

Good luck to those of you attempting to get Lifeblood back in the charts. I don't understand the point personally, but some of you obviously do so have fun!
