Nicky Wire is a lovely, silly yet ludicrous man.

There's something really hilarious about this page; and I can't decide if it's the title, the comment "FUCKWIT.COM", or just the ludicrousness of writing an entire page about things you hate and then censoring the whole list anyway...

Anyway, opening photoshop, can't promise anything though

I would say these are the ones we have so far:
We Are Scientists - Awful
Two Door Cinema Club - Why bother
Drums - Truly pathetic
????? - old/ugly/posh
????? - Give it a rest
????? - Take a break
Mr Hudson - Embarrassing
The ? - Utter boredom
????? - Great man shit music

I am absolutely convinced now that it's Tom Waits - Great man shit music. If you write ToM WAiTS the way Nicky would write it, it fits perfectly.

^ Yeah, I think it says Tom Waits too. That's weird though, because I remembered having seen Nicky name-drop him as an influence:http://www.foreverdelayed.org.uk/for...ad.php?t=47075
(...not that I should have been able to remember that...)

Photoshop attempts were a fail, btw.

I just went to fuckwit.com. Nothing there.

I say we should register it and redirect it to FD.

"Awful" is definitely We Are Scientists. "Great man shit music" is Mike Watt. Not sure about the rest but "Truly pathetic" looks like Stars (the band?), "Give it a rest" looks like Babyshambles and "Take a Break" looks like Arcade Fire (I can see an 'i' and I can't think of many artist with an 'i' close to the end of their name other than Arcade Fire...might be way off with that one though. Huge guess).

Oh, this is fun! Hopefully some brilliant person can decipher the scribbles.

Hmph, WAS are brilliant and hilarious, almost as hilarious as Nicky.

Take a break for Arcade Fire, seeing as they waited three years until releasing their best album yet I don't know what he's on about, he took 3 years to release an album twice, and released their two worst selling and recieved records ever.

Can't help with t'others though, I'm obvs not brilliant

Nicholas Wire is rapidly turning into the playground bully and frankly I'm not impressed. A middle aged man writing sh*tlists in his bedroom??? Attacking people half his age?! Ffs.

What next? Pulling Taylor Swift's hair 'cos she won't sing Public Enemy's "Night of the Living Baseheads" at the school summer fete?

in the *talking heads* section of the NME elizabeth sankey from Summer Camp (no me neither) said that she had great respect for Nicky and the manics but.... *like spotty first years in grubby shirts and ties, we (new bands) gawp in open-mouthed awe at the sixth former Nicky Wire, and wait patiently to hear his wise advice. Instead he tells us to naff off and steal our lunch money, shouting *Nobody has replaced us!* as we run crying down the corridor.*

cute

I read that as well, I thought it was quite funny. He had been talking about how rock 'n' roll isn't going anywhere anymore.

I have no idea who she is, but that sums it up pretty accurately.

Hmm, well, as far as I'm aware I've never heard of Two Door Cinema Club, so I looked them up on Amazon. The other recommendations section was interesting. We Are Scientists and The Drums were there, as well as Blood Red Shoes. I reckon the latter could be 'give it a rest'.

I'm thinking maybe Jack White for 'take a break' as well.

His opinions on The Drums are already widely known and it could be them left of the 'truly pathetic' comment here.

By the way, wouldn't it be fantastic is he was referring to FD as fuckwit.com?
I can see:

We Are Scientists - Awful (true apart from first album)

Two Door Cinema Club - Why Bother (I'll give him that)

Drums - Truly pathetic (Right on)

(something beginning with J) - Old/Ugh/Posh

(Something beginning with B and ending with S) - Give it a rest (Bat For Lashes? If so, Nicky can fuck right off. Babyshambles? Perhaps but Nicky loves them for some ridiculous reason)

(something ending with I-something-S) - Take a break (Stereophonics? Arcade Fire?)

Mr Hudson - Embarassing (damn right)

The (something in y) - Utter Boredom

Tom Waits
- Great Man Shit Music (Once again, if this is the case, fuck far away off)
