A period of history that didn't happen according to MSP. It's like going to Germany and asking what they were up to 1939-1945.

That's really depressing especially when you hear them speaking about SATT in glorious terms.

Pavlov's dog. They associate one album with success and TV appearances and the other with having to shop at Lidl. You couldn't not have that affect you if you were in their position.

There by the Grace has been my fave Manic single for years, lush and the only song I can actually make out all the words James is singing!

Yes but if Lifeblood sold was SATT did and vice versa they would hate Satt and praise Lifeblood, Nicky judges on sales not quantity.

It's good to know that even mother tongue people don't understand all the words when James sings

Door to the River is one of those Manics songs that would be perfect if used properly and at the right moment in a brilliant film, something epic and widescreen and Wim Wenders-esque, as would This Joke Sport Severed.

Absolutely. I have thought for some time that the manics have at least a couple of great film soundtracks in them, if they ever fancy trying something other than rock/pop albums. Maybe something for when/if they retire from touring, whether as a band or as individuals.

Interesting question, but of the three I'd definitely pick Black Dog On My Shoulder. Just strikes more of a chord with me than the others, it seems a more personal song.

Cool avatar by the way, cs.
