Don't see why Ian's voice wouldn't appeal to the masses. He's got a great voice. The Manics have given you a decent song but you're saying it's 'bland' so what are they to do? I think SKON is ever so sightly better than YLAINE to be honest.

I like SKON. But I realise I seem to be in the minority.

I do prefer the live version on the EP to the single though *ducks*

Were judging it to a very high standard, and against the truly brilliant songs they've given us this just doesn't measure up. They don't need special guests, they just need to do what they feel. It's not a great song, they gave us far better on that album. I'm glad you enjoy it, but it doesn't do it for me.

Who cares about top 40? Few here. I think it's more a case of if they're going to release songs we want them to do well, rather than any particular desire for chart success. Seems to be mainly nicky who's fussed.
