I became rather protective of my barrier spot. I wasn't going to give it up for anyone. It was quite fun in a way.

My attitude is, I queued from 5 to get a spot on the barrier, there's people who queued a lot longer, so if you show up as the doors open then shove your way to the front of the crowd and expect me to step aside for you then you are an evil fucking moron and can burn in hell for all I care. Basically

Regards,
Marwood.

there was some blonde woman asking to go infront of me too. I was all confused and didn't answer her so then someone next to me told her that I'd been there all night or something and told her to go away, so whoever that was, thank you aha.

I wasn't far away from them either.

I am convinced I could have decided to administer bumsex to another man and it would be less gay-looking than that lot.

I said last night was better than Newport, but it was a better crowd. I expressed surprise at how slowly this gig was selling, but really, if the Manics appeal became "more selective" and they played places no bigger than the likes of Newport Centre etc, I'd be fine with that. The manics need to put out a series of space-jazz albums to weed the rugger buggers out. That's just my thoughts though.

If anyone saw a bulky, bespectacled pissed off looking person in a "God Save the Manics" T-shirt and Ash 1977 hoodie there, that was probably me. Obviously I don't know you lot etc.

I was not happy to leave early (as I said trains and that), but I did see some club-goers on the way back, not wearing much. I was lucky I didn't bump into anything, I was easily distracted by arses (the good kind this time)...

There should be laws about this. With appropriate punishment at the injured party/ies discretion.

Also, loved talking to people for the day-queuing is the most fun thing I've done for a while . Everyone is awesome. Especially gina for giving me the drumstick a security guard gave her, hanna for looking after it (thus preventing me from impaling myself on it during the manics), amanda/claire (can't remember which one owns it, my bad *blushes*) for not murdering me when I fell over on the table tennis table (still haven't figured out how I managed that one), and francis, joe, and everyone else I spoke to for being generally awesome .

Ha!

I don't know if many people spent much time in town afterwards but Cardiff on a Saturday night after the rugby is the most mental thing I've ever seen.

Regards,
Marwood.

Thanks for the doughnuts, nobby's special, table tennis...great to meet everyone I met .

Brilliant gig, brilliant end to the tour.

Most interesting part of the evening was going to spoons and finding no chairs, no food, and serving a handful of drinks....and looking out the window at ghost town cardiff before watching the rugby crowd pour out. Then when I got back to my hotel, a large drunk rugby fan was passed out in the corridor - from the sound of snoring I think he was there all night.

Such an amazing gig. Had a lot of fun in the queue, talking and meeting new people. JDB had a proper roar in his voice which made songs like Faster and Slash N Burn all the more epic. It was definitely the best Faster I've heard.

Crowd were incredibly rowdy which I don't usually mind but when I'm getting my head knocked by a crowd surfer being pulled over the barrier more than a few times, it becomes really annoying (and painful). I also didn't really enjoy having piss thrown over me, my friend and a handful of others, but there we are.

I was slightly concerned when Wire was swearing to himself and looking really angry whilst playing Let Robeson Sing, maybe he'd realised at that moment how shit that song is. We'll never know.

Confetti ending was amazing, made ADFL pretty magical, I have to say.

Great setlist and was glad to have a chance to hear SSI, even if JDB continues to bad mouth it, the bitch.

I'm surprised there's still no pictures of the gig up, I'll edit and upload some now for your viewing pleasure.

I'm surprised as well, but I thought it would have been too bitchy of me pointing it out...glad you did!
Yes, PLS!
What's up, people, are you still recovering?

I was in the right hand queue - I did see you in the distance at one point. Sorry I did not get to say hello. I didn't come up on my own in the end. Remember the guy I was with at Southampton? He came up with me in the end.

Sorry about the shit quality of some of these pictures. My camera was playing funny buggers and I've quickly realised that the quality upon zooming is worse than I thought. So yeah, a selection of some I took:
