Claudia's sign read "Nicky Wire you're my desire" on one side (a most sensible and understandable sentiment), and "Patrick Bateman" on the other. It was the Bateman side that provoked James' comments. He was clearly saying it tongue-in-cheek, in good humour, with a smile on his face. Plus he played fifteen or twenty seconds of the song for her.

I was just ribbing her, and joking about people fancying Nicky. No heat or malice at all.The banner was cool and I think the interaction and little snippet of PB were a lovely touch. I'd hate people to think that my comment was anything more than that (goodness knows it doesn't take much for a comment on this thread to be talked about elsewhere.)

Wasn't directed at you, Finn I was really more concerned with others' comments and worried that people might be taking all this jesting at face value.

Does anyone here know the guy in the (is there a better phrase than 'mosh pit', that sounds awful), with a huge rucksack on his back?that seemed a bit of a nuisance for others, especially given theres a cloakroom, maybe it's just me...
anyone that wears a rucksack during a gig deserves to be ejected immediately

Eh thanks? Not sure how a tightly strapped ruck sack does any harm to people.... Don't feel like I have to spend half an hour both sides of a gig just to suit people's bag phobia. Bags are softer than bumping into the back of people's heads, I know that from experience.

I carry a cross body bag and keep it in front of me.. if your're going to jump around with a heavy rucksack that bag is going to hit people in the face and i've been hurt by them in the past, had my arms scratched by the zips. Of course it depends on the bag.

I haven't taken a bag to a gig before as I have pockets
However I don't really see it as much of an issue - unless it's one that sticks up above your head!

its not really.. most people dont but it aint half annoying when you get stuck behind one. I've more of an issue on the tube tbh… sardined in when it would give so much more room to hold the bag in your hand , but thats for another thread

*cough cough*

ahem, like Marwood said, it was about "PLAY PATRICK BATEMAN" side of a sign. it was fucking brilliant. I showed the "NICKY WIRE YOU'RE MY DESIRE" side when Nicky showed up which was after the acoustic break. i was standing more on James side so I bet he noticed both sides of the sign.

He just played a snippet, didn't even sing, said he didn't remember it fully.

JFC. I'm still grinning like a mad person when I think of it!
I guess I need that Therapy? after all. and I swear to God upon heaven, I will make them play me Patrick Bateman.

here are all 6 videos from all 3 gigs, i'm gonna take care of the pictures during the Christmas break

You should of started off with 'depends on the bag' then when you'd be kicked out as well under that bizarre doctrine....

cos you have a bag stuck out your back, making you bigger, and you can't feel when it bashes into someone shorter's face or head, unlike a body part? I'd say it's not about rudely complaining about someone elses 'bag phobia' but rather common courtesy.
