They're lazy and working too hard?! Is that like Russel Brand spending 4 hours on the just got out of bed look?

In all fairness:

I can't see why it wouldn't stay in the set, really. It's been a deliberate choice to try and write a big radio hit and I'll be surprised if it doesn't hit the top 5.

btw. the poll result so far is a little bit surprising me. I can't remember any pilot single with such a low appreciation. Even Nixon was more appreciated I think.

Well I find the choices ambiguous.

(INW)JTEOL is growing on me. I find the chord progression a little monotonous but I can imagine myself loving the song at sixteen. Reminds me of the FD-era stuff a bit.

PS. Does anyone else get irritated by the use of dash with parenthesis on titles (on the official site for example)?

One more listen a few minutes ago. Still great, I think the radio rip is an edited version, it'll be longer on the album.

I thought they wanted to sell records again? this won't sell well at all, they needed another Design For Life not a plodding radio 2 song

I was panicing a bit as I could remember much about it, then I remembered how the riff goes. Came home and listened to it again.
Still like it. Still concerned it won't do well chart wise though?

I think if the single hits top 5 in the Charts, that will be a commercial success considering the way the Charts are going now.
Ideally we'd love it to get to Number 1. It would go a long way to justifying the 'one last shot at mass communication', not to mention being placed at number 2 a few times in recent years.
I've heard (It's Not War) - Just The End Of Love again today and it just sounds so fresh and uplifting.

It's nowt special, although it's stuck in my head now so might grow on me. But I doubt it'll propel them back to arena level success. Which isn't such a bad thing in a way.

*raises hand* If only for one reason, I agree with this.

I love it. Grew on me really quick.

It is catchy as hell and can't see why this would not become a hit.

I's okay. So-so. I don't dislike it. This isn't going to sell albums to anyone who wasn't going to buy it already, I'm afraid.

It will flop miserably and they'll come running back to us with their tails between their legs, apologising for forsaking us while they went about their failed attempt to court the Scouting For Girls fanbase.

It's us who'll get it in the top ten for a week. It's the masses who will refuse to communicate with it from the second week onwards. And then someone from Snow Patrol will call it bland shit and Ed O'Brien will go to the hospital to have his sides stitched back up.
