Gosh, all the New Zealand fans are coming out of the woodwork now. New Zealand is long overdue for a visit by the band. Without a doubt the gigs would be sell outs. The record label have never really been that support of the band overhere. None of the shops carried "National Treasures" deluxe edition. The one with the DVD. I had to order mine in especially.

It would be nice if the band did play in Christchurch, but that probably won't happen. I still think they should go down to Invercargill. At least Billy Bragg did

If there's that few in the shops, would they really be sell outs?

Was it Mick Jagger who called Invercargill 'the arsehole of the world'? I think Auckland would probably be all we could hope for - the Powerstation would be awesome!! And I think it would definitely sell out. I know so many people who would go see them even if they're not massive fans.

I do hold out hope a tour tied in with the Lions could actually happen - Nicky and James both mentioned it during the last Australian tour, and it's obviously still on their minds, so that has to be a good sign!

Will the bbc royal indoctrination plan ever end- the license fee feels more like a tax than a pleasure at the moment xx

Laughed out loud at 'the odd couple' for the 100th timelastnight- i miss jack lemon - a true great xx

Great news on "the voice" tour being cancelled-can they cancel the tv show as well please xx

After a few days thinking about it i'm afraid 'the thick of it' dvds will be going to a charity shop xx- i will miss them!!

BBC indoctrination what now? I'm on their site every day, must've missed it.

One of those days again when he's remembered the Twitter account exists.

New future of the left record is mega-failed olympic bid is the best new lyric this year-xx

Playing loads of tom petty at the moment which is odd+nice-classic rock rush fanpack is GLORIOUS xx

I keep reading the new FotL record is mega-failed. I'm amused by the idea of Nicky describing something as mega-failed.

The Voice was just weekend entertainment Wire, calm down. I enjoyed it far more than any of Mr Cowell's enterprises combined. Who wants to hear another rendition of Angels for the umpteenth time?

I was tempted by the Classic Rock Rush fanpack as well, I might still treat myself to it!

Sorry but I agree with Wire on The Voice. But I guess I am a miserable sod too

On the other hand I still have much love for the BBC.

Why the hell would he give them to a charity shop if he's going to miss them? That makes no sense!

Yes, Invers claim to fame. There was a really good song released by Mike Canning titled "Keith Richards Trip To Invercargill". Lovely little song really.

Powerstation would sellout quite quickly. The Manics aren't that big in New Zealand, but those who are fans are quite devoted to the band in a large way. Former TV presenter Jane Lee probably remains the most well known Manics fan in the country. Present company excluded.

We missed out on Morrissey this year, so the Manics in the future would be good. I know I shouldn't really post this reply in the thread.
