Plaglarism is not an issue when you admit to it Certainly 21 hours on a train in total and surviving Cardiff when the City was full of merriment and drunkenness was inspiration for your creative super-bitch flare. Alexis Carrington would be proud of you

Nope but it's a courtesy to let them know, security told us we might meet them if we waited until two, I didn't personally do that but people seemed determined to wait it out.

No, I believe Nicky went home early and then James and Sean emerged later but didn't come over. I guess they were knackered and it wasn't spiteful though.

It would have been the date where it would have been really special for a lot of people to meet them but I guess it's also the one where their loved ones are also seeking to drink from the cup of attention.

Woah 2am? That's dedication hi, I could never be bothered with that! I feel sorry for the guys sometimes, I suppose they want to show theur gratitude to the loyal fans and all, but I suppose it must get really annoying for them, when they're probably wrecked and want to go to their beds. But then they wouldn't be there without the fans, so you know catch 22 and all that. I've enjoyed the very few times I've waited for them, but I don't think it would ever become a regular thing for me. I'm just not that way inclined I suppose, I get a bit embarrassed about it!

I've pretty much learned that waiting around after Cardiff gigs is a waste of time unless you're prepared to stay until silly o'clock and wait for James. Nicky usually disappears early. I can't blame him, after a tour the lure of his own bed must be irresistable.

Last time I saw them in Cardiff I had a hotel room that overlooked the 'signing' area, and I did think about watching until they came out then making a run for it back to the CIA, but I decided to go to sleep instead.

yea of course it is. I'd always expect cardiff to be the longest wait for them to come out for precisely that reason but that because they'd be buzzing from the home-gig feeling they'd be up for a bit of rabid fan meeting too. They are getting old tho bless em. It'll be cocoa and slippers soon. With nicky think that might've already started

Great gig, not sure if it was better than Wolves or not, as on one hand, Cardiff had the better setlist, with the additions of Slash N Burn and Can't Take My Eyes Off You, but the atmosphere was nicer in Wolves. There were some twats in the crowd last night, but I had completely prepared myself for that, what with it being the day of the rugby final and a Saturday night too. So basically the perfect environment for beered up idiots. I had to laugh at the bloke behind me though; constantly chanting what sounded like "Take my drink! Take my drink! Take my drink!" along with "They're fucking socialists, man! SOCIALISTS!!" He seemed to be battering everyone around him during Motown Junk, until one of the security guys came over and had a word. He was also on the receiving end of a few hefty shoves from me as well; thankfully I was in a 'I'm not taking any shit' mood and wasn't going to let it ruin the gig for me.

I'm glad I've finally seen the Manics in Cardiff though. I'd done other Welsh gigs before, but had somehow always missed them in Cardiff. The confetti at the end was a nice touch and seemed a fitting way to end the tour. It was weird as well that just before they came on stage we were talking about the montage video they used on the screens on the Lifeblood tour and then they go and bring a montage back for this gig.

It was nice to hear Slash N Burn again, although I could not stop laughing at Sean Reid's backing vocals. I don't care if they were done in jest, they were utter SHITE. I also wished they'd jigged the order of songs up a bit too; there's an awful lull somewhere in the set around Let Robeson Sing and Suicide Is Painless which left me a tad bored. But Can't Take My Eyes Off You was a lot of fun, especially with James' beautiful head towel and that was a song I'd never heard live before too. The band seemed in good spirits as well.

As for The Joy Formidable, I've enjoyed them on this tour. I hadn't heard any of their songs before, but I think I'll give their album a listen. The lead singer had a nice aggressive energy about her. I wouldn't say they were better than BSP for me though.

I didn't think doors were THAT bad tbh (I've seen much worse anyway). There are two sets at the CIA and the queue is divided in to males and females and searches take place, so to expect everyone to go in to the venue in the order everyone arrived in is a bit naive. People without bags went in ahead of me as I was getting mine searched, but that's just the way it goes. Once the doors open, it's everyone for themselves. I queued all day at the MEN in 2004 and still only got second row, due to multiple doors being opened at once and the venue not caring who arrived when, so it can all come down to chance at bigger venues, regardless of what time you arrive.

Yep, we didn't bother waiting around afterwards for the band either, mainly because I figured with it being a bit of a homecoming gig, they would be busy meeting with friends and families. Having a go at them for not notifying people of their plans at the time seems a bit off too; they don't have to come out after every gig. You wait at your own risk.

I have a few photos, but not had chance to upload them yet.

I wasn't having a go, it was a 'in an ideal world...' situation.

Also I think that bloke was shouting about 'taking Madrid' though 'drink' is equally plausible.
