![]() A change in management as well as record company would be good, independent promotion would hopefully improve then (see: the Manics internet site and mailing list failure).

Gutless Wonder
we have failed you. we know that, for some bizarre reason, you managed to persuade the band and Sony to release Some Kind Of Shit, a song so bad it isn't even the worst on the album (doesn't have Nicky on vocals, you see) as a single because it amused you greatly. many of us doubted the wisdom of you amusement, but we supported you all the same and bought it. sadly, just not enough of us. i think the band have proved that, by releasing Some Kind Of Shit as a single, they actually can reach even more arse-headed levels of decision than they showed by not releasing 1985 as a single, and indeed by not having a single off JFPL. they go to some pretty elaborate and expensive lengths to show how much of a fuck they do not give, this band we love.

Hey, that's not fair, a lot of people have said that SKON is a good emotional song and should have been a single from the album.
Least be honest here, the band won't win over every single fan all the time with songs they make and release but hey, they're my favourite band and i personally don't hate any of their songs. I think SKON is beautiful. I can see why people don't relate to it or dig it but oh well.

the problem with SKON, as much as some of you love it, is that nothing whatsoever about it says single or chart material. Postcards, Balconies, off the top of my head, they are songs people would hear on TV & the radio and go and buy. not an overproduced, confusing on first listen track like this.

where did that come from?
Although a lightsaber would be handy for getting to the front at gigs. No need for queueing, just *shwoooom* I think you mean Mansun. Draper is clearly an evil bastard. |

I do agree that Balconies would be have been a great ballsy killer kick arse single. It rocks and has two wicked solos in there. But like Imperial Bodybags, you can tell the band would never release it as a single for some reason.
But yeah Gutless, I love the song (SKON) ![]()

I think you lightsabering half of the room might terrify the band into not going on stage though, so it may not be wise after all.
