I queue to make sure I have a place on the barrier, and if there is ever a tiny bit of space next to me, I always let someone behind me try and squeeze in. I am sure a lot of other people would do this as well, it's not a case of thinking those who queue are better fans and have a 'right' to be on the barrier every night. But you know, if you can't get time of work to queue, that's you're problem not mine.

Apart from Nottingham 2002 I've managed 2nd row for the other three gigs I've been to and I'm happy with that. The gig is over now, get over it!

It is incredibly fun, one of the most fun things . This was a very exceptional case though. I'm no stranger to a rough gig (apart from him Wolves was quite quiet) but I have never been subjected to personal abuse at a gig before so this was different.

Exactly. It's not as if I can't handle myself, I've been to a lot of gigs where it's been very rough and Manics gigs are usually some of the most tame. I don't mind a bit of pushing and shoving at the front (sometimes it can be quite fun and add to the atmosphere) but Wolves was scary for a while. A great gig, but very nerve-wracking until he disappeared after La Tristesse.

Isn't this usually the response of people who have realised they're in the wrong?

This has gotten a bit lost amongst other discussion, but I was wearing a motorcycle emptiness shirt and my hair looked like I had just got out of bed by that point haha

Hello, I hope you had a good journey home. I did and everyone I meet and tell where I was, says 'oh you surely had some rain in England?' And I tell them no, it was actually a lot warmer than here at the moment. Today I'm emptying my suitcase and am happy with my memories, tomorrow I might join the post-tour-blues thread.

When my husband got him in an armlock, his girlfriend started to scream the place down and say that my husband had assaulted her. Security dragged him over the barrier, and I followed in a state of high indignation, explained things to the security guy in charge (who was brilliant) and security then waded in and dragged the boyfriend out and ejected him from the venue. We still lost our places though, and in the ruckus the tramp girlfriend got to the barrier. It ruined our night, but taught me something, in that I was on the other side of the barrier, inches from Nicky, and I still stormed past him to 'rescue' my husband. I guess I know where my priorities really lie
That's terrible - cant believe people would go to a gig and then piss on someone - complete morons!!

Im glad the security guard listened to you and then acted on it.

You should have signalled to James - he'd have waded into the crowd and knocked them both out - he loves a good scrap

James wouldn't hit a woman

Ah well, all in the past. And Wolves was brilliant, even when I was being punched in the kidneys.
