Does the band have any say in the amount of tickets that can be purchased in one transaction on these ticket sites? Being able to buy 7-8 tickets at a time when they're only doing 6 THB dates was always going to leave plenty of people dejected.

There were sites/venues where that was possible? Or do you mean by using different cards/different sites? gigs&tours definitely limited transactions to 4 tickets per card.

I always think 3 should be a good maximum number. If you are a large group it's nice to be able to go together but it would make it seem fairer. An odd number being better in case the group has to be split up to buy tickets this way.

You could buy up to 8 tickets on ticketmaster.ie, which was ridiculous.

ah, dear old ticketmaster! yep, they are just the kind of arseholes that would allow such things! Totally agree with ticket sales being limited to 4 per customer. For us as a large group it meant we needed two "designated ticket buyers", but that is an effort worth making to keep the touts at bay. Well, if only it fulfilled that purpose!
Agree with you that it is unfair if one person gets to pick up eight, even for a group, if others lose out.

Don't think it makes much difference if they've already sold lots to secondary ticketing companies.

Haven't received any yet, hoping they start to arrive faster than the ones for the last tour did, were cutting it fine for my nerves a bit with Cardiff and Leeds last time... More worryingly, I've bought a pair off here, given up trying to get a face value pair for Glasgow so gonna tout them on Friday.. so that's two pairs that are going to god knows where before coming here... Nervous. At least the touts are using UPS...

Not sure if it makes any difference but after I booked them I rang Ticketmaster to say I was flying to Glasgow upto a few days before. I'm pretty sure I didn't say a few WEEKS before lol

Bought 1 from Roundhouse aswell and that had better come a good few days beforehand (didn't ring them tho as it said they post 2 weeks beforehand) as i'm going to be away again and may be giving it to my friend if I can't change plans to get back for concert!

Last few times I've bought Manics tickets have been through Seetickets, who tend to say you won't get them until about a fortnight before. I think they leave it late as some kind of vague measure against touts whacking them up on eBay so quick (Doesn't work though)

I saw someone of Twitter posting a pic of theirs today. They were through the bastards at Ticketmaster though, don't know how they do things.

Sorry that's the Cardiff Astoria setlist, must've copied and pasted it there by mistake when I was half asleep
