Well some of those definitely weren’t on my Manics bingo card 20+ years of being a fan and this band can still surprise me sometimes

No covers! Was wrong about four piece.
Wonder if The Anchoress will be doing the festival or Japanese dates?
Love love loving Die In The Summertime following Motorcycle Emptiness. I really hope that gets inflicted onto a festival crowd.

I'd be more than happy with that although I'd swap 11 and 23 over.

I upped some videos I took, not the best quality and Faster misses a couple of seconds midway through as I accidentally hit the "stop recording" button but thought I'd share:

Thanks for the videos! I might be misremembering, but is that the first time Nicky has had a feather boa in a while? It's a small thing to miss, but I enjoyed the days when his mic stand had one wrapped around it and there was a mini cheer from the audience when it got put out on stage.

For those who were at Bath, how were Picture Parlour, the support act?

It's been an interesting week for them, somehow seemingly going from press coverage to being tipped as the next great thing everywhere in the music press. Then the inevitable backlash started, claiming they're only getting the coverage because of well funded marketing.

Their debut single seems okay, but was wondering if anyone saw them and if they thought they were a band on the edge of greatness?

I thought they were ok, suffered from the support band curse of shit should engineering so the drums drowned out the vocals. A tad too much Beach House influence at times where I thought they were playing a cover.

I enjoyed them, they were decent. Typical press s**t of building someone up to knock them straight back down afterwards.

Good lord. Now that's a set. Strip it down? Yes please...

Although, this is how it should be played live... https://youtu.be/FuOfZbgwDKg
