End of term shenanigans from the band, maybe?

The BBC radio interview was interesting as well. Bit of tension between the lads!

Alright. I think this performance of Decline and Fall started really ropey but was actually pretty decent half way through. Think it will sound great by the time they get to their own gigs in the New Year.

The BBC guitar sound doesn't help here at all. Bloody awful.

But great ot see Jimbo playing so much of the white Les Paul here. Still by far his best guitar.

The band haven't sounded great since James stopped having to sound great. The second guitarist as a crutch is the main reason their live performances don't rate anymore. A huge part of what made them an amazing live band was the fact that he was walking the edge of a razorblade with so much on his shoulders. It gave him an energy that has now been replaced by pretense.

I remember him being interviewed after the TIMTTMY tour talking about how he'd gotten complacent and was disgusted at how he'd caught himself onstage acting at performing instead of performing. Now it seems that's all he ever does. I don't know if it's that he's become lazy or just not bothered but either way the result is the same.

James: "Remember to not swear, remember the words, what else do you want me to do?"

Well, he managed one out of two.

I watched it back last night and thought it was really good. Almost, but not quite, as good as being drenched watching it live.

I watched it again last night. The sound has been improved, most notably on YLAINE as I shocked at how loud the keyboards / synths were in the chorus as you couldn't hear anything else but that's now been fixed. I see on Youtube only two songs have been added by the BBC, D&F and Motorcycle.
