No doubt the UK customs will make you pay a tenner on top too.

I ordered all the reissues, JFPL, and Everything Live. My order total came out to $326 to the US. Time to start saving now so it won't be too hard of a hit when they charge my credit card.

Might be important to note that the DVDs will be in Region 2, NTSC format. Hopefully, those that order it have the means to play it.

The Lifeblood and SATT ones certainly look worth having, especially for higher versions of the vinyl/cassette/download only tracks. I just noticed that the rest of the tracks appear to mainly ones that aren't featured on Lipstick Traces so as to not hurt its sales.

Sony Japan seem to be going all out with promoting the band this time, 8 album re-releases, two of FD (DVD and 2CD/DVD) and a newish dvd. Looks very likely that they may even play a few gigs in Japan this year.

hmm, also i noticed now that the 2 disc of JFPL is cancelled, though my order for it hasn't. Plus i payed with Paypal so they still have my money.

Too much for me I think too. Maybe I'll choose one or two.

AS for the Region thing, I thought japan was region 2???? I've never had a problem playing US DVDs on my computer when I use VLC player, it seems to handle any region.

Japanese DVDs are Region 2, same as the UK. Region 4 is Australia/South America

I never quite understood the consequences of this news story last year. As far as I'm aware this means you could import the full set of releases in two bundles so they don't come over £105 to avoid customs. But you will still have to pay VAT, which could be 15%? There doesn't seem to be any mention of VAT being charged for CDs, though. (The post office will probably charge you for something else as well, like making you pay to collect the things.) CDJapan will mark your parcels as a gift, so there's always the chance of them slipping through unchecked. Yesasia will still be the best way to go IF they actually bother stocking any of them.

As for what's missing, for a start there's The Ghost of Christmas and that instrumental currently on the official site, neither of which I've seen on CD, as well as the 2002 remix of Motorcycle Emptiness which very few have on CD. I really don't think we need a live version of La Tristesse Durera on the Lifeblood bonus disc.

I never really understand the customs. Once i got them without any fuss, the second time they charged me like £1, but then the Post office charged me £8 for handing!

Ouch. I think I'm just gonna go with Everything Live for right now and maybe GT or GATS. I hope Everything Live isn't dual layered. I'm just gonna burn a copy to make it region free, it will be much easier if its single layer.

Wait for the exchange rate to change! There's hardly any Yen to the pound at the mo - In the 2.5 years since my wife came from Japan to Uk, the exchange rate has gone from about 220Y to the pound, to about 130. Not ideal.

give it a few months and they might be cheaper!

Sods law it'll go the other way and they'll be more expensive, in which case - don't blame me!
